To be honest, no. Khudobin is looking good so far though. Until the Wild drafted him he had NEVER had any formal goalie coaching. He's smaller and athletic with good raw instincts, but still unrefined and since coming to North America (where he started with Saskatoon in the WHL) he's actually learning the game and so far it looks like its working. For Khudobin its important for him to do well since he can make the team believe it still has a legit prospect at goaltender. The only other goaltender we have in the prospect pool is giant Niko Hovinen, 6'7" but he's mainly received backup minutes in Finland. Khudobin had a tremendous year last year in the ECHL; but we've seen that before when we had Frederic Cloutier back when Louisiana was our ECHL affiliate. Despite the one phenomenal ECHL performance he was far more vulnerable at the AHL level.
