I don't like my girlfriend wearing high heels?

OK so I know this is stupid but... I'm open to advice and opinions:

My girlfriend is a few inches shorter than me (I'm 5ft 11), but when she wears high heels she's a few inches taller than me.
I'm not comfortable with this. I think it's because I feel less capable of protecting her. I feel weaker. I know it's stupid but that's how I feel.
I don't like it when she wears high heels; it makes me feel useless, like I couldn't help her if she needed me.

I'm not going to ask her to stop wearing them! She likes them, they're pretty etc. etc.
but...

Advice please? Be as blunt/harsh as you want lol
